Thai Patriots Network Submit Petition to Supreme Court to Investigate PM

The Thai Patriots Network has submitted a petition to the Supreme Court asking it to appoint independent investigators to investigate the premier and relevant authorities for failing to protect Thai territory.

The petition was filed by Thai Patriots Network leaders Chaiwat Sinsuwong, Admiral Bannawit Kengrian, and ML Walwipa Charoonrote.

Citing Sections 275 and 276 of the Constitution, which concern criminal action against holders of political positions, the petition states that Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban, and Defence Minister Prawit Wongsuwan failed to perform their duties to prevent Cambodian soldiers from intruding and occupying more than 3,000 rai or 4.8 million square meters of Thai territory.

Chaiwat said if the court agrees to conduct the independent investigation, the petitioners would bring Veera Somkwamkid, if he is released, to testify.

Veera is currently serving time in a prison in Cambodia after being found guilty of illegal entry and espionage.

Chaiwat said a petition will also be filed to the International Court of Justice, the International Red Cross, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, accusing Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen of human rights violations against Veera and his secretary Ratree Pipatanapaiboon, who was also handed down a jail sentence in Cambodia.

They really are just throwing out the words of the day to try anything that might seem threatening.

Not only utter nonsense but a huge waste of time, effort and money against those they present this garbage to. Thailand's international reputation never seems to rise above that of whinging greedy corrupt mud-slinging politicians. They don't even get back page space in any media internationally any more, which kind of let's one know Thailand is fast becoming (already is) a laughing stock in international circles.
