I'm prescribed Eutrosig which is 'supposed' to be refrigerated. This is virtually impossible when travelling around.

Does the constant removal from the fridge make the medication useless, or in anyway dangerous to take.

There is a fairly common tablet med prescribed in Thailand for low thyroid and wondering if this a better idea for the couple of months moving around here each year?

Eutroxig, which is also known as thyroxine, should be stored in the fridge for long-term storage. However, it can be taken out of the fridge for a month if stored at "room temperature" below 25C (according to the Australian product labelling). Thai temperatures frequently exceed this, so I imagine you might need to shorten that if you are storing it somewhere much hotter.

Probably best to remain on the medication that you are stable on than switching to something unknown to your body.

Just another aspect, if I may.

I travel around Thailand for a couple of months each year, mainly on bus's then to hotels.

Is it a good idea to replace this medication back into refrigeration at each hotel stop, or once initially removed, not to refrigerate again.

Hope this is not too medically technical!
