Travel In-Between Expired Visa And New Visa Issue

hi there

my Non-Imm O VISA expires on Mar 17, and the new VISA will be issued on Apr 04. in between these two dates, I have an unexpected travel. what status I have and what should I prepared ?

do I leave Thailand as end of VISA, or permitted stay ?

would my existing VISA completely VOID ?

any issue on over-stay if I travel next week ?

when I come back, I come in as a tourist ?

could I still entitle to EXTEND the new VISA on Apr 04 ?

any idea ? please help !

No idea. Are you on an entry by visa(90 days) or a one year extension of stay?

If leaving after your permission to stay, you would be subject to a fine.

my non-immigrant O VISA already 2 years and now is in the process of extending to the 3rd year.

from Mar 18 to Apr 03, technically this period it doesn't cover by VISA of any form, just accepted the application of VISA extension and in a waiting state of the new VISA.

You are geting your terms mixed up. You appear to be staying on "Extensions of Stay" not the visas, are you married or on retirement? You need to leave before the current permission to stay expires, or you will be on overstay, or apply for another extension. Have you already applied for the new "Extension of Stay" (It's not a visa)and have been told it won't be available until April 3?

Anyway, looks like you need to make a trip to immigration, if you simply leave you would have to start the process all over again.

yeah, that is my concern - I don't want to start this heavy stuff all over again :-)

You are still on the original extension of stay - there is always a period pending approval (normally has been 30 days in recent times) where you are still allowed to stay.

For the travel you must obtain a re-entry permit first and return before that 4 April date for final stamp.

tomorrow I better go to the immigration and check with them personally. if it is as easy as a single-entry re-entry permit that covers this travel only, happy to do it.
