chops
I just moved to Chiang Rai the other month ago and I am freezing! Last few days have been nothing but drizzling rain and cold. I've never been colder in Thailand in ever before like this. I hope it's not like this all the time. I might need to buy a heater.
canuckamuck
Nobody has seen it this cold this time of year, don't worry you will be sweating like a pig soon enough.
ThaiPauly
None of us have ever experienced weather like this in mid-march, its normally 35 degrees at least by now. Something to do with a cold front coming in from China so I have heard, but yes it is very unusual. But this time last year you could hardly see your hand in front of your face as the polution was so bad. I'm enjoying it while it lasts to be honest

About 1,000 thb. Nice to have for those few days and nights when it does get cold. There is always the hot mineral spa's

IanForbes
Of course it's always this cold in March. I was just skiing up Doi Suthep yesterday. We had a great time. There's a big ski lodge up there with dome shaped buildings all covered in gold.

WinnieTheKhwai
Wasn't it Thaksin (or someone in his government) who proposed a ski resort with artificial snow for Chiang Mai? that would be so awesome. Best après ski ever.
