Any Social Get Together English Speaking Ex Pats?

Featured Replies

Is there any meeting place where Ex pats in Bangkok get together for social meetings or any place to meet non Thais in Bangkok?, Not thinking of drinking buddies or bars clubs (tea total), but nice to meet some British, Australian Canadian US, or Europeans who speak good English.

Could be nice, but on TV you find mostly the NANA and PATTAYA buddies ... In my 7 years here never been to Nana, GoGo bars or Soi Cowboy, so I don't think we would put a big crowd together ...

Yesterday there were 4 foreigners together at a fishing pond. 3 of those from Thaivisa so you can meet people outside of the bars. I almost never frequent the bars.

Well, funnily enough there have been some get togethers in Bangkok in the past - and the scenario that you paint is not at all true.

What are your interest, would be a good place to start? (I don't frequent the bars, though I do enjoy a night out dancing, purely for the dancing and music... But not sure I trust tea totallers! ;-)

I find it quite odd that Bangkok does not have a venue like an Expat Club. Chiang Mai, Pattaya, and even Chiang Rai have associations that meet every month.

Check out Bangkok Podcast. They have monthly activities and parties for expats and Thais.

The American expat group is at http://www.meetup.com/Bangkok-Expats/. Have been to a few of the meetups, always good people, but I've got a lot of other stuff going on, so don't go that often. Don't know if there's one more generally for English-speakers based elsewhere.
