March 29, 201115 yr Author I think you may be right. Will keep my fingers crossed, and if I decide to buy a new one, that's fine too. Life is good (no endorsement for LG products intended).
April 5, 201115 yr Author Semi-humorous update to my fridge drama. Well, it turned out the ending of the loud noises signaled the death of the unit. It stopped functioning as a fridge although it cooled a little, ending up spoiling a lot of my food. I finally got some advise from the store that a tip of 200 baht (covering two people) would do the trick of getting them to remove the old fridge (I tipped a bit more, foreigner guilt complex I suppose) and I now have a spanking new fridge in time for the Songkran hibernation. Thanks for the suggestions on the thread. Case closed. Edited April 5, 201115 yr by Jingthing
