Job Hunting In Bkk From The Us?

Featured Replies

anyone have any tips for a Thai American who is job hunting for a full time position in thailand from the US? im a born US citizen and have thai parents. i also speak both languages fluently except i cant read or write thai.

id really like to bust into the TV/radio industry as maybe a DJ to start. Or also considering a managerial position in a 5 star hotel.

ive also posted my resume here on the board so hopefully i can get some leads that way.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

I assume you have Thai citizenship, but if you cannot read or write Thai, I would think that will be a major stumbling block.

Yes, I agree with the above statement. Well, many Thai employers would want someone who had a good command of English like yourself. Though, it might be difficult as well.

If you had a degree in Hotel / Tourism and approached a 5 star hotel, it wouldn't be an issue. Other positions that do not deal with English speakers, you may have some problem there.
