Pheu Thai Spokesperson says PM is not doing his job effectively

BANGKOK, 27 March 2011 (NNT) - Pheu Thai Party Spokesperson, Promphong Nopparit complains that Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva is not doing his job effectively.

Mr. Promphong said Mr. Abhisit had disappointed the Opposition by not doing his job properly. He said Mr. Abhist did not visit the flooded provinces in the South but instead conducted a video conference which was not enough to help the people. The people are now left to solve the problems on their own which causes the issue to linger.

Pheu Thai Party Spokesperson added that the government should find ways to invest on ways to prevent natural disasters. The Government should clearly allot a budget for this matter and come up with measures to prevent the matter in the future; they should also give knowledge to the people on the matter so they can protect themselves in time of emergency as well.

Maybe if his attention and time was not constantly being diverted by having to deal with the whinging and whining of the red rabble then he would be able to get on with some work.............

And so what has PTP done for the flooding in the south?

Nothing to be sure, it's not their demographic.

But attempting to imply the PM isn't working for HIS demographic is a pretty lame attempt to put a wedge between him and part of his voting block. A tele conference is a lot faster way to determine what is happening and what is needed than to hop a plane and fly over it. A waste of the PM's time to get things done, I am sure he knows exactly what flooding looks like.

Ask: What's happening, what do you need, and then use the existing disaster budget, where the disaster is.

PTP showing yet again they have no ideas, besides try and portray their enemies as not doing their job, while never ever saying what PTP will do, or god forbid actually DOING IT.

If the PM were to allocate a budget to the south for this, the PTP would start yelling he is favoring the south over the north , pandering before the election, and so on and etc.''

So PTP what education do you propose to the people to prevent being hammered again by storms of the century? Since this has been called a 100 year storm but some down south.

Floods? Again? K. Thaksin handed down a five-point flood prevention policy last January. Mind you, he gave his master-plan to PTP. Don't know what happened since. Drought in 47 provinces, flooding down South. How to motivate my voters base?

Brilliant idea: transport the water from down South to up North. Why has no-one thought of this before :whistling:

To be fair he did find time for a photo opportunity last October, when he travelled to the flood hit areas of the North of Thailand, well, Lopburi Province, 90 odd miles north of Bangkok in reality, but the thought was there.

A shuttle of water-tanker trains might run, on the new high-speed railway, sponsored in-full by DL's companies, thus demonstrating his active-concern for the poor. ;)
