Dubai Packages

Featured Replies

Well have recently decided against going to the UK for family reasons, so am looking to take the wife to

Dubai. I have been there before for a short term contract, but this will be her first time.

Does anyone have an idea about any places offering good package deals to there around May/June, decent

tour agents would be appreciated.

thanks in advance

Maybe check the Emirates / Etihad websites they might have hotel offers too, or do you want teh full guided tour thing?

Just make sure the tour includes the the diamond market and the gold souk, she'll love them.

Or any other place that I could take my wife to get over the disappointment on not going to England this time, but not Hong Kong

My wife loved Japan and Switzerland. Egypt was another popular trip.

How about Oman? Anyone have an comments?

Visa issues for you too in Oman.

It's not as easy to get around and not so geared to tourism.

Outside of Dubai the best Arab countries to visit are Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.

Remember May June time is the hottest time of the year in the Middle East.

Chose to go to Dubai, flights a little steep, but okay. Choosing a hotel is the most difficult part, there are some fantastic ones there including the Rose Tower. Any further suggestions, or recommendations?

Ramada Hotel is nice and in a good location to walk out to shops and restaurants or to get a taxi out and about farther afield.

The Burj if you want to splash out a bit, every room has it's own butler and they'll pick you at the airport in a limo with a bucket of champagne in the back.

As someone already said, June / July very very hot - forget about doing anything that is not air conditioned in those months.

Early mornings and late afternoons are OK if you're doing watersports like water skiing or at the waterpark.

Go snow skiing at the height oif the day. Go on a desert safari but take plenty of water.

And there's lots of air conditioned shopping malls to spend time in, and an airconditioned gold and diamond souk that the missus will love.

I would be cautious visiting any Arab country right now.
