Songkran

Featured Replies

Was planning to return to TL from Laos (Chong Mek) on the 14th of this month and just realised that day is part of the Sonkran celebrations.

Anyone know if this will effect immigration border posts, Like closed to keep dry.

Borders are open as usual, they are not affected by holidays.

Immigration offices are closed.

Thanks Mario,

Wouldnt really matter if I was stuck there for a couple of days anyway.

Anyone have any idea what dates immigration will be closed? I need to do an extension on the 11th and get the feeling it will be my fault if they decide to take the extra days off...

Do it earlier, you don't loose any days.

The extension starts when your current stamp ends.

What about travelling at the 16 th of April, is it still chaos on the roads?

I suspect it will be even more chaos on the roads on the 16/17th as people return ready to start work on Monday the 18th! ermm.gif
