Filipino Community

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am living here with my family and a Filipino lady and was wondering if there is a community here for her to make friends?

Thanks

Huge community in Samui, mostly in the music business & a few teachers. Many of then socialise around the church, activities & services.

Can confirm that there is a large Filipino community on Samui, Boo is spot on.

Yep - big community and all very closely-knit - everyone knows what everyone else is doing!

I've PMd you a contact phone number - one of the 'mommas'!

There is a bar in Chaweng where a Philippino band play... tropical murphy's I think. The band are some of the friendliest people I know and there is a huge family of them... maybe go down there for the night and talk to them before or after they play?

The Ovada band, they are a lovely family & will more than likely put your wife in contact with the community at large if you go talk to them after their set.
