Has Anybody Rented A Condo In Bkk Without A Visa?

Featured Replies

I would like to arrive without a Visa, rent a condo for 6-9 months, I will do my border run to get my double entry 30 days after I arrive,

Thank you for your advice

When you say "Border Run" do me crossing by land and not air? I am NOT sure but I thought that they changed the land crossing to 15 days? But again I am not sure you might want to check in the Visa section.

The landlord won't be interested in your visa, only in your money, especially the deposit and the month in advance.

I think what the OP is suggesting is, he'll arrive in Thailand (by air) and get 30 days. Then, at the end of those 30 days, leave Thailand to then obtain a double entry tourist visa from another Country before returning again.

I would strongly advise getting your Tourist visas before you come from your home country. Saves a lot of hassle IMO. (Of course, I do not know if there are any particular reasons for why you'd rather not do this).

As for renting, I've been here 5 years (on and off) and never even had to show my passport, let alone visa when renting.

Thanks for your advice, maybe I should get double entry visa here, and at the end fly to PP to obtain another double entry there.

Fishman, maybe you should goto the visa section and tell the guys there, they seem to think you need to leave the country to get a double entry tourist visa

By 'here' I believe Fishman1 means 'in his own country'.

By the way, I don't think the tourist visas are free any longer. This finished last month.
