Bus Advice And Suggestions

Featured Replies

some of these buses are so slow

and stop so often

some are so old and rattling

the air con can be pitiful too

soooooooooo

any advice for finding the faster better buses

or is it pot luck only?

how about the bus station at pattaya nui

is it worth it going there to catch a bus?

verses sukumvit

to go to sri rachca or chonburi

or the other way to satahip or rayong

i am sure it is worth it to go to bangkok as i believe they do not stop at all

and leave very often

perhaps this can be a useful thread for us all on buses coming and going from/to pattaya

thanks

nothing huh?

how about this

can you get a direct non stop to sir racha

from the pattay nui bus station?

price?

can you do the same for chonburi?

price?

how about satahip and rayong

i think if available non stop from the bus station is going to be faster than

the slow ones you catch on sukumvit

maybe the slow ones are better for space

as they are often not too full

thanks

Before the new motorway and bypass opened the Bangkok buses used to go through Sri Racha and Chonburi and in the early days of the new motorway the buses used to divert to those places off the motorway if they had passengers going there.

I don't know if they still do that though, best go to the bus station and ask there.

The aircon buses that run along Sukhumvit are from Bangkok to Rayong and stop at all the places you want, and lots more besides so are very slow.

Your best bus would be from the Pattaya Nua station if its going to your destination.

If your just going up Sukumvit to flag down one of the points - North and South buses then :

1.The buses that are the blue and white combination only are by far the best.

2. The buses that are blue and, white with orange strip are ok . There are some yellow and white buses that are also in this same class.

3. The buses that are blue and white with magenta strip - forget it , keep waiting .
