March 11, 200323 yr I am in a long term (10 yr) de facto relationship with a 46 yo spouse and 14 yo step-daughter. I am 57 and intend applying for a 'retirement' visa to Thailand Dec 2003. We intend staying at least 3 years, with my daughter finishing school there. My qeries are as follows: 1. Is my step-daughter eligible for an "O" type visa, as my dependent? 2. Clearly my wife cannot enter as a spouse of a retiree. Can she get an "O" visa as my dependent, or is that only for children? Failing this, what is her best option? Whilst I have no intention of working, she would enjoy some work (as a nurse) if readily available. Finally, it seems, from earlier posts, though not explicitly stated, that O-A or O visas do not grant re-entry. One must have a re-entry visa as well. Is this correct? Many thanks!

March 12, 200323 yr What are your nationalities ? Be aware that Thailand does not recognize de Facto relationships. If you have a one year stay approved by Immigration, you require re-entry permits if you intend to travel.
