beamer Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Does anybody know where on Samui can purchase local network sim card for Ipad ? Pay as you go type Many Thanks
Samuian Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Lotus @ the mobile phone shops, 7/11, Family mart
H2oDunc Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 1 to Call is 49 baht from 7/11. Either call 1175 and sign up for a monthly pay as you go package or pay 1 baht per minute. EASY!!
Bluebell Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Doesn't IPad use a micro Sim not your standard phone Sim? Not sure these would be carried by 7/11, Family Mart etc. Also is there still limited to zero 3G coverage in Samui, or is it widespread now, appreciate any update on this.
beamer Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 Bluebell you are correct ! Ipad use the tiny micro sim card not like the mobile phone types I just want to use a local pay as you go card for access to the net / email etc mainly when Im over in Samui as I dont wish to pay the high roaming charges from my Hong Kong service provider. Anyway thankyou all for your thoughts and feedback
lollyk Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I get mine at Telewiz at the back of the Tesco mall. It's about 845 baht unlimited use for a month, but lesser packages available. They can sort your Ipad out for you, did mine no problems and very helpful, I am a bit of a technophobe! Bluebell you are correct !
