Local Sim Cards For I Pad

Featured Replies

Does anybody know where on Samui can purchase local network sim card for Ipad ? Pay as you go type

:)

Many Thanks

Lotus @ the mobile phone shops, 7/11, Family mart

1 to Call is 49 baht from 7/11. Either call 1175 and sign up for a monthly pay as you go package or pay 1 baht per minute.

EASY!! :D

Doesn't IPad use a micro Sim not your standard phone Sim? Not sure these would be carried by 7/11, Family Mart etc.

Also is there still limited to zero 3G coverage in Samui, or is it widespread now, appreciate any update on this.

Bluebell you are correct ! Ipad use the tiny micro sim card not like the mobile phone types

I just want to use a local pay as you go card for access to the net / email etc mainly when Im over in Samui as I dont wish to pay the high roaming charges from my Hong Kong service provider.

Anyway thankyou all for your thoughts and feedback

I get mine at Telewiz at the back of the Tesco mall. It's about 845 baht unlimited use for a month, but lesser packages available. They can sort your Ipad out for you, did mine no problems and very helpful, I am a bit of a technophobe!
