Male torso found in market garbage

By The Nation

Police are investigating the discovery of a dismembered male body yesterday at a garbage disposal in a major market in Pathum Thani.

The torso of the male victim, cut from waist to upper legs, was found in a cardboard box at Four City Corners Market in Lam Luk Ka district by a garbage collector. A pair of women's underpants were found in the box.

A suspect in the case is a man in his 30s who bought three cardboard boxes at a shop not far from the market at around midnight, before the body parts were found at about 3am, according to Khukhot police detectives.

The cuts to the body, about 30 centimetres in length from waist to upper legs, were made by very sharp objects, and the blood was washed away before it was contained in a white plastic bag, later found in the cardboard box.

The victim was about 20 to 25 years old and died about six to eight hours before the dismembered parts were found, police said.

I'd put my money on that 'sharp object' being a knife. Ever tried cutting the arms and legs off your grannie using a feather? You'd be the laughing stock of the Serial Killers Club.

How they decided the time of death was six hours earlier from only a torso I don't know. Thai torso, it seems, is ' waist to upper legs'. Interesting. That throws into disarray the whole 150 year development of Anatomy. We've been led to believe a torso involved a headless, armless, leg less set of remains. Now the Thais starighten otu the entire world. It's arse and thighs only!

I expect from the rigour mortis, the 'torso' having an erection, they got the six hours. Maybe even tested the blood for viagra. Then conferred how long each of them manages to stay stiff for and settled on a collective of 6 hours. Then the Chief of Police through a spanner in the works by informing his underlings ' I take two.'

Police now adjust the time of death to anywhere between 6 and 12 hours.

I wonder if having found a single piece of the victim they bothered to look in the other Four City Corners? A bit too obvious that one. Probably missed it.

Word of advice. Get rid of any cardboard boxes you may have been saving. Thai logic; as used by butchering murderers. Also, no more shopping at Watsons - white plastic bags are for blood and not shampoo and aspirin.

Still, there's nothing to worry about as the Police have narowed it down, based on all the forensics available to ' a man in his 30s'. That puts me and the wife in the clear then.

How about you?

Burmese migrant worker /TAN_Network

Sharp powers of deduction my dear Watson, skills honed by many hours of study at the Police Acadamy....:whistling:

Burmese migrant worker....not worth investigating, obviously in Thailand illegally and up to no good therefore not worthy of a proper "investigation"...case closed

Upper part of male torso found floating in canal in Rangsit area; police believe the dead man might be Burmese migrant worker /TAN_Network

So the fella that bought 3 cardboard boxes is off the hook unless they find the victims limbs packed separately in 2 boxes.

Police Investigate Si Mum Muang Market Murder

The police have arrested the murderer of the body that was discovered in pieces in a box left at the Si Mum Muang market in Rangsit area yesterday.

Early morning yesterday, the torso of a human body was found in a box placed in the garbage area in Si Mum Muang Market in Pathum Thani Province.

Deputy Superintendent of Kukot police station Samarn Saemi said initial investigation found the victim is man and with a tattoo of a red rose on his chest.

Further inspection found that the dead man was a Burmese laborer, and that the murderer is most likely a Kayin.

The police searched one of the buildings in the market and found the alien cards of Win Ni Au, aged 32.

The police are still not sure whether the card belonged to the victim or the murderer.

Police said they have reasons to believe that the victim and the murder were initially co-workers, who later got into a fight after the murderer accused the victim of stealing his gold.

The murderer killed the victim and cut the body into pieces to conceal his crime.

He placed the body parts in a box, which he bought in the market area, and then placed the box at the market's garbage area several hours before it was discovered by a garbage man.

In all fairness, I think Housepainter is not mocking the victim of the crime. His comments are aimed at the methods used by the clowns conducting the investigation. I hope.

If he is farang it will be judged a suicide.

But don't understand how a human could do that to another person.

You can't! Humans can be the worst of all living things, humans are the only problem that Mother Earth has,

problem being the bad or unconcerned are out numbering the humans that care and walk the walk.

Unfortunately it absolutely matters -- if the deceased is Burmese (akin to a soi dog in many Thais eyes) it's very likely there'll be no case to answer. In Phuket fishing port someone has been gunning down Burmese there for years -- probably well known and viewed as a local hero.

UPDATE

Burmese nabbed in gruesome murder case

By The Nation

30153747-01.jpg

A man whose dismembered body parts were found in garbage in Pathum Thani was a Burmese worker killed by compatriots out of anger over a gold necklace going missing, police said yesterday.

Paraded at a press conference was one suspect identified as Per Ler, who said he dismembered the body of victim Win Ni U for Bt8,000 from a suspect on the loose identified as Mew.

Per Ler said he acted after seeing Mew beat the victim angrily while accusing him of stealing a gold necklace from Mew's sister.

The other body parts were found in a canal after the torso was found earlier this week at a garbage disposal site at a major market.

A Bt50,000 bounty has been offered by police for information leading to Mew's arrest.
