I have booked a flight with Bangkok Airways from Phuket to Pattaya. I have just noticed the name on the ticket is correct but the title is 'Miss' instead of 'Mr'. Does this mean I will be made to cancel the ticket and buy another one?

I booked it online so its my fault.

I have contacted them by email, but this evening I am in the process of booking other parts of the trip and if I have to cancel and buy a new ticket I suspect the price could have increased so I may have to change my plans.

Only BA fly to Pattaya so I am at their 'mercy'.

I am sure it will be sorted out tomorrow, but I wanted to get the other parts of the trip sorted out tonight.

Any thoughts would be appreciated (apart from wearing a skirt that is)!!!!

I have traveled on a wrong gender ticket before - even a ticket with a minor spelling mistake. No problem.

Technically the gender is not a part of your name. Just show them the ticket and the passport. The fact that you want to be a 'miss' is none of their business.

Oh, and by the way. Act confident - never appear nervous at an airport check-in. They may suspect something worse.

I booked Air Asia BKK-PNG.......got my boarding pass at check in, went through immigration, then noticed it was a Miss and also a different name...they had checked me in as someone else......I really didnt fancy going through immigration again and missing my flight so just carried on...went down to boarding and got through there also without a problem....boarded the plane, AA dosnt have assigned seats.....then just put my head down, about 10 minutes later there was a call for the lady that I was given the boarding pass for...I didnt do anything, the plane took off and I got to Penang without any problems...dont know about the lady whose boarding pass they had given me...so a simple miss/mr...that shouldnt cause a problem

I'm glad I'm not the only one - my partner thought it hysterical that I was now 'Ms' on a recent flight with AA.

Still no idea how it happened, I have a saved profile with them and checked and that showed Mr . . . a mystery.
