Sorry if this has been asked before, I've done a brief search and there doesn't seem to be anything recent.

The missus has a small herd of 5 indo Brazil cows (3 of them pregnant) and 1 calf (female). They are being looked after by the in-laws in Thailand. There is no way she wants to sell them but does anyone have any idea of the current going rate for strong healthy Indo Brazillian cattle.

Are they long-eared, or run of the mill Brahman?

Regards.

Hi Teletiger thanks for the reply. I suspect they're long eared but here's a photograph of one of them taken last year.

The bottomline is they are worth what someone is willing to pay for them .

Very hard to sell any run the mill Indo brasil BUT show standard indus fetch good money . If the females have been covered by your own bull then the offspring can be worth very little unless he is top quality and has a pedigree to match . I have seen indu brasil cows sold for 15000 baht and others sold for 1.5 million baht we have 11 indus ourselves IF someone came in with the right offer they would not be here they would be gone . Keeping and breeding Indu brasil cows is for a hobby nothing else and they are hard work to take care of ..............................
