Get Wet Day In Bangkok

Featured Replies

I realize that the splashing and water tossing occurs on different days in various places. Being a vet of Patong I know what to expect. I'm trying to schedule myself out of Bangkok when the squirters get into full action...

Dates we can expect "play water" to occun in BKK and Pattaya?

Mahalo,

Avoid April 13-15, Songkran and Family Day (Thai New Year) in BKK.

Pattaya not sure, should be one week later?

Right on for the Pattya Date. I did the Patong, splash night and next day and night and then on to Pattaya. There is more agressive but BKK is not something I would like to do. Thank for the reminder...I'll pass on the BKK, no problem.

BTW Do the streets smell better after the wash down?

BTW Do the streets smell better after the wash down? no way...it just stirs it up a bit...breathe in deep...plenty for everyone. :o The holidays this year are 13 14 and 15 April, enjoy it, but don't wear your best suit day or night during that week.

After the Songkran carnage on the streets they tend to take on a coppery smell.

On a slightly different note...

I was working in S'pore and travelling back to LoS quite frequently during the time of last years Songkran, It was interesting to see how scared people in LoS were of SARS and how complacent everyone was of the road toll during the Songkran week. TiT :o

The big day in Pattaya is April 19th. So stay celar of the place if you dont like getting wet and if you need to do business or travel through the place...forget it. No tours operate on this day either.

I cant participate because my metal suit gets rusty :o
