I can well understand some of the guys earlier giving "outbursts". It is getting extremely hard to live in this country (UK) with all the PC stuff that is about. The thing that makes most people angry, is that, the PC stuff is all one way, at appeasing the Muslims. Not at appeasing others, like Buddhist, Jews, Christians etc. etc. You never hear a peep out of any other religion, just Muslim. :o

They are slowly getting their way and spreading Islam into every oriface of the Globe, just like the Kouran (SP) says they have too. Try getting a settlement visa to a Muslim country. I know people who have lived in Saudi and Kuwait for 30 or so years, still can't get citizenship and vote or buy a house etc and if they put one foot wrong they'd be kicked out back to their "Own" country. Just double standards to me

Someone bought me one once, and I gave it to the Labrador. He threw up.

The only thing that disturbs our dog's stomach is TOO MUCH FAT.

Ask George, or most of our over 50 members, about the physical effects of a bad diet.

The long-term consequences of eating such crap food (not to talk about the banality of the taste) are IMHO sufficient reasons to start a jihad.

And this is not to talk about the architecture. Toilets in a railway station (ever been to Milan?) have more atmosphere.

Just attempting to eat under over-head neon lighting is as aesthetically pleasing as most other activities that take place in public conveniences.

Give me a Thai, Arab, Indonesian, Malaysian or Japanese street-vendor’s fare anytime.

I’d much rather suck on a banana than visit or eat from BurgerKing, Macdonald’s, KFC or an English chippie.

Well, I enjoy the occasional (once a week or fortnight) spicy chicken wings and chips with coke and ice. But I've never been to their loos so can't comment. But at least you get somewhere to wash up before and after you tuck in. :o

What an absolute joke. I proudly display the Cross each year. Lost for words, as for the burger king thing..would Allah really give a flying ****.

I feel the same way geez, but BK treated the word "Allah" like it was a registered trademark (I know, it sounds silly), it's just too close to call. I personally reckon this is what their legal advisors were going on when they decided to withdraw them.

I try not to get involved in religious/political threads mainly because the lines are drawn and everyone is fairly polarised already but i/m with mrbojangles , Brit and Daleyboy on this one.

Ive never considered myself racist, but it does seem like a case of double standards as mrbojangles points out.............after all can you imagine going to any of the Middle East countries and setting up a church/wat and start denouncing Islam they/d have your head off and yet its perfectly ok for any Muslim to enter the Uk and have his say or up to recently preach religious hatred on the streets of London.........and although this BK example may seem fairly trivial, its merely the thin end of the wedge......IMO of course.

Problem is, the UK has been to soft/lienient for a long time.........ive got no problem living in a multicultural society but youve got to play by the rules............just my 50 Satang worth.....................

Now it seems we can't even wear the national flag...

Prison officers at a West Yorkshire jail have been advised in a report not to wear St George's Cross tie-pins.

The wearing of England's national symbol by staff at Wakefield Prison could be "misinterpreted", said the report's section on race relations.

Chief inspector of prisons Anne Owers said she had been told the pins were bought in support of a cancer charity.

I'm all for multiculture in England and the UK, however there is a line... after all it is England, why shouldn't the flag be worn...? :D

Didn't we already try this appeasment thing in the 1930's ?

I must admit I am rather surprised to discover how many genuflecting members we have who prepared to stand up and fight for the Cross of Jesus.

Perhaps we ought to start a new forum in Thaivisa:

Lovers of the Cross, Bar Girls and Burger King.

Your missing the point Thomas. It's not about the Cross of Jesus or OUR Flag for OUR country, it's about the principle of all of this Politically Correct Tripe that's going on.

Oh come on... are you saying we should now CHANGE our national flag because it may upset other nationalities in England...? or that we shouldn't be proud of our Flag due to it's religious background/symbol..?

I thought it was you, who was GWB's fully paid-up Advocate - make up your mind?

With Britain being one of the least religious societies in the world (only 2% of the population are regular church goers), I don't think many people would equate the cross of St. George as a religious symbol. Most people just see the flag as the historical emblem of England.

I think you know this already and you are being purposely obtuse.

Obtuse is the operative term here for Tommy... :o

Gentlemen, no matter how much you cross-compliment each other and argue about symbols that on the one hand supposedly mean so much yet on the other hand don't mean anything at all, there is no disguising the fact that the central core of this thread is quite simply tolerance, and its lack of - from all sides.
