Help Me Choose Location For My Stay

Featured Replies

I am 20 years old male. I've been to Thailand before (but stayed only in Pattaya though). I am going to spend 1-2 months in Thailand, most of that time I wish to spend in Bangkok.

I was thinking about 2 districts - Ramkhamhaeng and Ratchadaphisek, first one because it's an "university area" so I am guessing lots of young people, students etc. and the second one I've read its main nightlife centre for locals (not many foreigners). I'd like to hear what do you think of my choices and If you have more suggestions.

I decided it will be a good idea for me to stay out of major tourist areas.

Short stay ... and I assume you don't speak Thai, so I would suggest staying around Radchada .. there is plenty of affordable housing options just up the road from there and you are on a MRT line.

Yes Ratchada is much more accessible than Ram. MRT line runs right along Ratchada, plenty of cheap accommodation around Huay Kwang, and lots of clubs/bars opposite Fortune Town.

You won't have much fun at the clubs on ratchada by yourself, or with your falang mates for that matter. Much better to go there with a group of Thais.

I'm not sure the op is searching for accommodation. :whistling:
