May have to go to BKK for maybe one or two weeks or even up to a month to sort out a bit of business. Was wondering where the best place to stay that is not too mega expensive, don't really want to stay in a hotel, so maybe a small condo setup that do short term lets up to a month. I want to set up a PC workstation in there, and I would also be looking to set up a small office somewhere. In the UK we have 'easy in' serviced offices which come with wi-fi, reception service, conference facilities that sort of thing and you can rent an office for as short as 4 hours or up to a month, do these places exist in BKK?

Also, i won't be bringing the car, i will need to get about, I suppose taxis could be the answer, but don't like the thought of being driven halfway round bangkok just to go 2km. I have no idea of the layout of bKK, so i suppose this is what i need to live with.

any advice gratefully received.

Get to grips with the BTS and MRT.

Very easy to use and will save you A LOT of travelling time.

I think you will do better with this in the Bangkok forum.

One of my favorite places to stay is Pathumwan House. Soi Kasemsam 1, near MBK and easy walk to the sky train.

BTS smartpasses (does include a one day pass for 120 baht but OP is probably better off with something else)

You could try IBIS Hotel at Sathorn, its pretty decent for a two star hotel and if you book by internet you can get it for like 1100 per night and its about 7 min walk to the MRT.
