I'm a retired antique dealer living in Bangkok. I have a lot of sterling silver that I've decided to sell for scrap, can anyone recommend a place in Bangkok or nearby that will buy it? I can sell it in the US for a decent price but then I'd have to convince US customs that it's returned US goods to avoid import taxes and I don't know how difficult that would be.

Ask somone around the the train station.

Go to the soi on Cheroenkrung behind Lertsin Hospital, which is on the corner of Silom and Charoenkrung. The soi is opposite the soi that goes to the Shangri-la Hotel. There are about 10 shops that buy silver, gold, and platinum scrap. I've dealt with 2 of them with no problem, fair prices. PM me if you need more information.
