The doctor said it was most likely from a viagra overdose but an autopsy would still have to be performed. You lot don't know what the stomach meds were or if it was genuine viagra or what, and you're making all your own minds up of what happened. The Thai autorities have contacted his embassy and everything seems to be above board so far, so shut up with your stupid comments.The man is dead and that is sad. Drug overdose is very sad, whether heroin, viagra, or aspirin. there are some very capable thai forensic pathologist in this country. overdoses amoung farang are very common here. it is easy to call people stupid from the bully pulpit and i wonder sometimes why people who think thai people are stupid choose to live here and what their point of reference is? is the point of reference their own superior intellect being from a western country? somehow to me you are missing the point here in thailand. There are probably some very incapable ones too, especially when it comes to the death of a farang. The usually just don't care enough to waste their time with, especially in places like Pattaya. I imagine that most of the people having a joke have taken viagra. Count your blessings that it didn't happen to you. Think of what your family would think, instead of getting a cheap laugh. Who knows whats in these fake, cheap tablets. I dont need Viagra but if I did I would first go to a Doctor and get a check up and only take the Viagra and the dose he prescribed for me. I can remember when you could get valium over the counter in Thailand but now need a doctors script. Some people are their own worst ememy when it comes to swallowing drugs without getting proper medical advise first. I've seen documentaries on the backyard manufacture of fake drugs. Unfortunately many of these are freely available in Thailand. Pharmacies have a lot to answer for. Profit seems to be the overall ruling factor with customer care non-existent. First, how many forensic pathologists are assigned to Patong hospital? Answer.... zero. This was no forensic pathologist making the hypothesis, most likely some General Practitoner. The evidence of that is that no reputable forensic pathologist would be stupid enough to issue a statement at the scene. To put forth a "likely cause" of death at the scene in this situation is TOTALLY irresponsible and EXTREMELY reckless. Any forensic pathologist making similar remarks would have been fired for such flagrant disregard for medical integrity. The previous sentence is what cclub was addressing, not all the accessory issues you assigned to him in your tirade. Cclub was ABSOLUTELY correct in his statements and assessment. There have been fake Viagra/Komagra out there but I doubt that it is now sold in the Pharmacys. MAYBE this guy took a batch of the fake and could not get results. The next batch he took too much. Pharmacys have tightened up with distribution....cost and availability have shown this. "Did you hear about the school boy who took some Viagra? He got third degree burns on his hands!" Yeh and Pfizer also said that Vioxx was safe with FDA approval. That has just killed an estimated 88,000 - 139,000 people!! Better to take the natural alternative CHRYSIN. If you can't get a hard on anymore maybe it's time to pack it (him) in. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> likewise, you sound to be of a younger age, and have no idea what it is like to get old where in western countrys even most of the older ladies who have lost there partners turn to there familys and do not seek another relationship while the dirty old men as you call them can still enjoy a sex life after a reasonable period of morning for there departed, in the western world they have little chance of that, so many who have learned of Thailand travel here to find out for themselves and some are fortunate enough to find a Thai lady who will care for them and I mean realy care for them in exchange for the security they can give, I find with Thai ladies they do not care about age or even looks but if the falang has a good heart and is prepaired to take good care of them and there family "within reason" then everyone can be happy. As for the other "dirty old men" why are you here? dose the young girls in your country look at you as a dirty old man? most guys who come here for a holiday and are getting on in years are having a last fling and just maybe one day you will be in there situation, so before you go shooting your mouth off just think what you are saying, and maybe the guy who lost his life was in need of some love in his life, maybe he was paying for love, but now he has paid the ultimate price.
