Hi there, many threads here have said that we can pay for AirAsia tickets booked on-line by 7-eleven outlets...but on the payment website I can't find payment by 7-eleven..it only shows by credit/debit cards E-gift vouchers and Direct debit....any advice, thanks..

You're right and judging by the amount of times I've read this on different forums, I would have thought the answers would be flooding in.

I conclude that these answers are given by someone who is not up to date with the Air Asia online booking.

If we can pay at 7/11 I'd sure like to know which part of the online booking form we use?

OG - Just seen your post.

No, there are people who insist it can be done with AA.

Hi.

I did it last year.

I booked on the phone and they gave the price and a booking code and some other code as well. Wrote them down and went to the 7/11. They have barcode that they scan for air asia and they input the codes and then you pay.

It may be listed on their website, but good luck trying to pay at 7-11. I wanted to do this to save the 3% charge that I get with a card booking. So I called the call center. The woman sounded like she was reading from a script.

Me: "It says on your website that I can pay at 7-11"

Call center: "You can pay credit card on the internet sir, or book with me on the phone"

Me: "But it says on your website that I can pay at 7-11"

Call center: "You can pay credit card on the internet sir, or book with me on the phone"

This went on a couple of more times before I finally asked how much it would be to book on the phone. Of course, the price was much higher than on the website.

If anyone figures out how to make a booking on the website and actually pay at 7-11, please post it.

YOU CANNOT book online with Air Asia and pay at 7-11. You can book through the call centre (at a higher cost) than the advertised online fares, naturally and pay at 7-11. The AA slogan that "everyone can travel" is just BS...

I've never found a way to actually access the low fare deals they show on the AirAsia site to book them. I'm afraid that their web site is typically hopeless, like 99.9% of all Thai web sites. I'm also beginning to think that the company just plain sleazy and doesn't really offer the "bargain fares" they advertise.

You can get them, I have been on a number of their bargain flights and have more booked, think 700 Baht to Bali, have done that twice.

If you can pounce on the offers when they open up, be patient and flexible with your choice of destination and dates then you can get the cheap fares.

OK they may not be such a great deal for those who need to travel to a specific destination on a set date, maybe at short notice, but if you just want to try somewhere new at some time down the line then you can get some good deals.

The pay at 7/11 option is only available after you have gone through the booking process and AA rejects your CC as they do not do buisness with some banks over fee disputes. Once you have done this and have a booking number-then you call AA and tell them thier site will not accept your CC. They then will give you a 15 digit # that can be paid at a 7/11 in this reigon. Hope this helps.

Usually only after payment is cleared then AA would provide a "PNR" ( passenger name reference ) or a booking number..

Myself and many of my friends have been able to get some amazing bargains, sign up for the promo email and get in quick. The next one wife and I will go from CM -BK -Macau return for a total of just over 6000 baht in September.

BTW AIr Asia is a Malaysian company.

That wasn't my experience as they gave me 24 hours to pay my fare at 7/11. Regardless, AA is partnering with Expdia-see my thread below-so it will hopefully become a non issue soon. Also, Singapore air is launching a low fare airline to compete with budget carriers.

You can pay at a seven eleven only if you purchase a non discounted ticket. In other words if you pay full price you can pay at the outlets suggested. Given to me straight from the horses mouth just yesterday when at the same time they quoted about the same and in some cases more than real airlines to Australia.

Air Asia's Payment Channel states over the counter payments with th.gif Thailand Baht

• 7-Eleven outlets

• K-Bank

• Siam Commercial Bank

But i would also like to know how it's done?

My wife has done this before (with Air Asia) so I know that it CAN be done but I am not sure how!! She is in BKK taking her final Masters exam this weekend so I cannot ask her.

I couldn't either until I became persistent. It takes some effort. But it's worth the effort in the end. I got 2 for 1 tickets last year CNX-BKK-CNX on Nok Air and this year I got many tickets on Air Asia to Phuket, BKK and Hat Yai. I paid only 485 Baht each (round-trip) to Phuket and to Hat Yai from Chiang Mai. I always refuse the meal, seat assignment, baggage-check, etc. That is where the price of the ticket can really add up.

But the one thing I really dislike is that you have to pay the "convenience fee" to pay any other way than through SCB. On the last set of tickets I bought I had to 1250 Baht in convenience fees. That is a rip-off. I wish you could pay at 7-11.
