It's just a movie for gawds sake. I cannot imagine the intelligence level of people that would either be persuaded to come to BKK or persuaded to stay away on the strength of a film.

I found Hangover 1 really funny and entertaining, but found this movie a very tired follow on. Quite an achievement for only the second movie in the franchise.. It wasn't funny, it was boring, completely predictable, and in a word, ...crap.

Anyone that arrives in BKK expecting to see the city as portrayed in the movie deserves everything they get, and anyone that decides not to come to Thailand because of the movie should not be traveling alone outside unsupervised anyway.

It''s old news, Hang over 2 brings more tourists

Tours companies are already doing the Hangover 2 tour where you can see the bar, go on chao phraya river and have a drink on a roof hotel.

TOT is fine with it, they admitted that it was true they had a a lot of prostitution although it would not be the thing they would like to promote, what bothered them most were the geographical inaccuracy (like you take the chao praya river to phuket)

my big fear is that these types of films might make people think that these thai girls with farang men twice their age are just interested in their money.

My fear is that men who say they visit Thailand for the temples will be taken euphemistically.

negative impact on tourism?

not if you believe this article from today's Sydney Morning Herald - 48 per cent of travellers to Asia keen to visit the Thai capital.

A new research report on the youth travel market underscores how we’ve ridden the strength of the Aussie dollar to become a nation of travellers.

Youth group travel packager Contiki’s 2011 research, the Style Miles Report, reveals that no fewer than 84 per cent of the 18-to-35s are planning a holiday, with travel far outstripping most other consumer purchases by value on the to-do list.

In the Contiki report, Asia is the most popular region for young Australians with 52 per cent having visited it in the last three to four years. The most popular destination was Bangkok, with 48 per cent of travellers to Asia keen to visit the Thai capital.
