Rayong _ Two young boys aged 12 and 13 were killed yesterday when a motorcycle they were riding was run over by an oncoming pickup truck at an intersection in Muang district.

Wathana Buranawangsila, 46, of Klaeng district, told police the accident took place while he was driving down a bridge on the way out of town, when a motorcycle suddently cut in front of his pickup at Koh Kloy intersection.

The two boys, of Nikhom Phatthana sub-district, were killed. Mr Wathana has been charged with reckless driving causing death. [/b]

Train hits truck

Phitsanulok _ A Bangkok-Chiang Mai train hit a pickup truck at a railway crossing in tambon Bung Phra yesterday morning, killing the truck driver.

The accident took place about 4.20am when train No 4502, chartered for tourists from Singapore, was heading for Chiang Mai. Driver Prachuap Daengwangnamkhu, 40, of Muang district, was killed on spot.

Bus kills tourist

A Japanese tourist died after he was hit by a bus at a pedestrian crossing on Rong Muang road on Friday.

Police identified the victim as Yamada Yoshi-umi, 31. Witnesses said he was hit by bus No 29. He was rushed to Police Hospital and was pronounced dead later. The bus driver, Thanom Thiengthong, fled the scene.
