Hi Guys,

Anybody have True cable Internett in Nai Harn,,,and if how is it working?, i got the BBB and its just crap now, getting DC around 20-40 times a day and they told me 2 months ago they was working to fix it, well, better look for something else.

Thx

I am with TOT since 4 years both here and bangkok and have proved to be the most reliable specially when it comes to breakdowns etc 350 baht a month for 4 mb download were else in the world would you pay that ?All the others promise and offer alll sorts of performances and services but have proven to be unreliable.

I found out that True don't have cable here so i went to KPP Rawai, they could give me 3 different package, standard 4M/512K for 850B. 10M/512 1.250 Baht and then Premium 2M/1M inclusive cable TV for 1.750 Baht, they told me on Premium max 5 customer on 1 line, they will come around tomorrow and show me,,,,, so lets see :)

We've had one person posting on phuketinternetspeed.com who was using KPP Rawai. Their speeds weren't very good, and the line dropped frequently. He ("Nocka") ended up changing to True cable and he loves it.

The speeds that are really surprising me right now are from TOT Fiber. They seem to be getting their act together - after more than a year of offering the service. It'll be interesting to see how reliable the lines are now. No idea if TOT offers fiber where you are, but it's worth checking.

I don't know if TOT has fiber to Sai Yuan yet, but they're stringing Cable TV (with internet over Cable TV) in Land & Houses. Drop by Sunday morning at the computer clinic - it'll be busy, but grab me. I'll ask and see if anybody has found a solution around Sai Yuan.

We're having good luck with 3BB at the Sandwich Shoppe - on Chao Fah East. I wonder if it's the 3BB service, or something particular to your line. (????) That's almost a rhetorical question. Might be worthwhile bullying them into replacing your router. As I mentioned to HDRider, come by Sunday morning and let's see if anybody has figured this out. I've heard several stories of people who got decent TOT service (yeah, an oxymoron) by asking the right people at the TOT office.

paying 3bb for a dedicated line or new wiring might help. I had my 3bb installed from brand new lines, no spliter nothing. It's as reliable as DSL can be in thailand.

Not sure what you mean by dedicated line. As far as I know 3BB don't share voice lines any more. Last year 3BB laid in new lines to all 4 of our 3BB accounts. Can't say I noticed any improvement in service. Much the same, sometimes OK, sometimes slow, occasionally no service. Think I'll give True a try when it reaches my neighbourhood.

By dedicated i meant your own node or business line type thing from CAT. But then again it's easier to just get TOT fiber or true cable.

i dont know much about this stuff, but if i turn my router off and back on, its ok for about 5 mins then it goes crap again. i should call them see if they will replace it. thankyou i didnt think of that!
