Top-Up English Classes

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Haing been married to my Thai Mrs. for 10yrs or so, most of which was spent in Europe (8+yrs) we have recently moved back to Thailand.

Having been removed from a 95% english speaking environment, my wife's level of English has regressed a little. In honesty, her written English was never great, and while her spoken English is excellent her grammer could do with polishing up. While I work with people who speak technically better english, I have yet to encounter a thai that has naturally mastered the english language, to the point that she gets jokes that play on words etc.

For example I got an sms from her earlier saying "my phone work now" instead of "my phone is working now"..... speaking, she would say it correctly however.

So, I want to send her to study somewhere, where they can teach her better grammar, and how to write a bit better. My question is, where?

My own is apauling I know, but I think you all know what I mean.

Many thanks in advance.

Where are you located? These guys have a number of locations, are a sponsor here and I attended with my wife a couple years ago. The teaching speaking right along with writing. This link is geared mainly to those looking for Thai lessons but they have a great program teaching English too... http://www.thaiwalen.com/

I would guess there might be classes she can attend at a local University too.
