ISLAMABAD (BNO NEWS) -- Three people were killed and dozens more were injured when a suspected bomb exploded in southwestern Pakistan on Saturday, police said.

Officials said the blast happened in Panjgur area of Balochistan province as a convoy of a law enforcement agency carrying troops was passing by, killing three people and injuring 31 others. Two children were among those killed, and five security personnel were among the injured.

According to officials, the remote-controlled explosive device was planted in a motorcycle parked in the area, but other details were not immediately available. Troops cordoned off the area of the blast and launched a search operation.

On June 11, at least 37 people were killed and more than 100 others were injured when two powerful explosions ripped through a supermarket in Peshawar.
