edwinchester
Hi I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy 3. I am very happy with the phone. It does everything I want it to do and hopefully will continue. One thing I have noticed is that the available memory is slowly shrinking. As yet I have not noticed any drop off in performance so maybe this is not a problem. I want to ask have I missed anything that can be deleted to increase available memory. I regularly delete messages, phone logs/history etc, my browser history and the like. I only have a few apps installed and clear any cache they may have regularly too. So as an Android newby is there anything else that may be shrinking my available memory? Thanks, Ed. What version of Android do you currently have?
Crushdepth
Clear the cache on your browser, that is probably the culprit.

jdinasia
Photos and apps are often defaulted into the phone memory as well, instead of to the sd card (installed extra memory) Often it is worth checking WHERE your stuff goes and making sure it goes to the memory card. lomatopo
Every application can have a cache. The 1Tap Cache Cleaner (free version in the Market) works great. You can even set up an Auto-clear interval: 12 hours/1/2/3 days. And it has a History Cleaner.
