Rural Thais Find an Unaccustomed Power The New York Times, By THOMAS FULLER

Published: June 30, 2011

I read this and found some of it interesting, and some of it the same old, same old, from people that spend too much time looking at the Microcosm of Thai villages without taking into account the Macrocosm of Thai society, culture and life...

But what stuck out out me the most was the total absence of one word, that in endemic in Thai life and permeates Thai culture to its Rotten Core...

That word.... "CORRUPTION"... is entirely missing from this article.

No matter how much Thai villages evolve... they are still tainted by the corrupt Society they live in... and until this is dealt with, no Change will effect anyone's way of life.

Because the fact is, No matter who is in power, their Greed will corrupt them and everything they do.

Whether Red or Yellow, Democrat or Phua Thai.
