Getting A Motorcycle Side-Car Built On Samui

Featured Replies

Hi all, does anybody know of and can recommend some local business on Samui that can build a side-car for a motorcycle?

We have a 175CC Kwaka and would like a simple, metal tube framed side-car with a simple flat roof. We'd like it to be bolt-on, not permanently welded on.

Any suggestions as to who/where and also what sort of prices I would or might be looking at.

All appreciated in advance!

Copy that Poor Sucker, I know of "Chai Motor", he used to fix up this old Kwaka 900 I used to get 'round Samui on.

I'll check him out, send the missus over to get a quote based on a sketch I'll do.

All Good - Thanks.

NOTE: Any further suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

I think that there is a new place open on the ghost road - Plai Laem. (Neat Yato (spelling?) gym.

I have driven past there and seen some different types of sidecar. (More like the old UK 'torpedo' shape ones.)

Hey Tropicalevo, excellent.

That's what I'd really love but I didn't mention because I thought it a bit obscure for Samui.

For sure we'll go check them and Chai as well.

I'd love a black, torpedo/sausage shape side-car on the Kwaka, it's black too.

It would almost look cool. Just gotta get an old Sporty to replace the Kwaka and we'd be well shod then, eh?

Thanks!

Was surprised to see a couple of Russian tourists (?) in Choeng Mon in one of these torpedo side car things over the weekend. Looked like it was hired and very new? Also looked pretty good! I am not saying you try and find the tourists on Samui, but that these things are here somewhere already.:D
