Rescue workers said accidents often occur on the dimly lit road after dark.

PHUKET: -- The dimly lit entrance road to the Laguna resort complex in Cherng Talay was the scene of yet another Phuket accident last night in which a Filipino man was injured.

Teddy Dilag, the 38-year-old assistant operations manager at the Phuket & Marbella Villa Rental Management Company, suffered a broken arm when his motorbike and a pickup truck collided near the entrance to the Laguna Village residential estate.

Kusoldharm Foundation workers rushed Mr Dilag to Thalang Hospital for treatment of a fractured right arm and multiple abrasions.

Both Mr Dilag and the driver of the Toyota Vigo involved in the accident will face initial charges of negligent driving, police said.

Mr Dilag was not wearing a crash helmet at the time of the accident.

Rescue workers said accidents often occur along the Baan Don - Layan road because visibility in the area is poor after dark.
