toenail
When I want a clean, reasonably priced place to eat at with decent food, I'll stop at Kiss Restaurant, across from Mike's Shopping Center on soi 2. Not only does one enjoy the good, basic Thai food at reasonable prices but one can enjoy the company of an array of vendors between each bite. You won't be a lonely diner if you are eating solo enjoying your solitude... while munching on your chicken with cashew nut or your pad thai you can look at pirated watches, carved wooden statues, DVD's (including porno); finger nail clippers;sunglasses. It is sure nice of this restaurant to include this company of smiling merchants as part of the ambiance.
OZEMADE
They have another Restaurant down Siam Country Club Road, just back from the new markets. It is open 24 hours, they have a great Thai and European menu with cheap prices and beer. They have 2 areas to eat, smoking and non smoking. Great place, give it a try. PattayaParent
There's also one at the Dolphin Roundabout. Not been to the one opposite Mike's for some years, is it still the slowest service in Pattaya? The service at the Dolphin Roundabout location is quicker but surly with it.

I have been staying at the Diana Inn right next door for over 8 years, twice a year. Kiss was a great place to eat, for a snack coming home late The last 3 trips, there was always a problem, surly service, food was crook (fish) Last trip in March/April 11, twice waited 15 minutes to pay the bin, got up and started to walk out, they moved fast then. Expat friend said Kiss is known to have GONE OFF. aussiep......
Darrel
Kiss opposite the Diana Inn is usually busy but I think it is expensive for what it is. It does have the free floorshow though.

Although it was the nearest restaurant to where I lived I used to avoid it if I wanted something to eat quickly.
Tolley
I wouldn't call it good food but it is cheap and for people watching it is good. Agree with slow and surly service comments. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there as there are hundreds of better options in Pattaya.
cardholder
It is OK. Bog standard fare at a bog standard (Pattaya) price. The vendors are a pain in the arse and I would bar them if I was the owner. I ill avoid the front row of tables if I go there.

morphic
How can anyone recommend it? First, its full of fat, bald falang (by the way, I have hair and I am not fat). Second, the service is terrible. Third, the food is very mediocre and the prices for what you get are very high. The first and last time I went to the one near Dolphin Roundabout I ordered green curry with rice...I think the price was about 90 baht in total, which makes it really bad value. What I got was a tiny tiny portion of rice and a tiny tiny bowl of very ordinary curry. In fact, I felt so cheated I paid and left without eating. Its a rip off for idiot tourists, big parties of Russians and Indians in particular. When you say its cheap, what do you mean by that? Compared to what? It may be cheap compared to getting a Thai meal in London, but this is Thailand and it should not only be cheap, it should be much cheaper. The reason its not is because of all the idiot foreigners that have no sense of value or perspective.

Jingthing
I am not a fan but sometimes it's a convenient place to go late at night. The best thing I've found on their menu (Soi Diana) is the yellow curry, be sure to order it spicy for more flavor. Lots of potatoes in it and choice of meat. BugJackBaron
It's convienient because it's possibly the only 24 hour rest in the area(Villa Market is no longer 24 hours). The American breakfast would be ok except for the tasteless toast and jam-like substance. Cheap but unsatisfying. But for a better - even if margnally - 24 hour place that is cheap, head to Chok la dee(sp?) in Foodland ... Too bad the location isn't as convenient
Darrel
the food is very mediocre and the prices for what you get are very high. Indeed. It is not good value by Thai standards, though one does have to bear in mind the location and relatively fancy decor. I often eat at a place about 100 yards from there where a one-plate meal is 20B and the water is free.

gk10002000
It is a decent and convenient landmark. Fried Rice with shrimp is my typical simple lunch along with a watermelon shake. Out of there for 90 baht plus tip. I do love that little bowl of spicy oil. A few tablespoons of that is great. Not really spicy, more salty than anything else. Occasionally I make it down to the Dolphin roundabout one too. I agree that the counter eatery up at Foodland is OK. Sometimes nice for the AC and when I was staying up on Soi Yume it was obviously closer and just around the corner convenient. I always enjoy watching the short order cooks do their thing. A couple of Woks going, two grills, etc.
