Cheapest Accommodation On Mrt Or Bts Line

Featured Replies

Hello, I am moving back to Thailand in a month or so. I need to be along the MRT line to take a two week course offered in Bangkok. Once the two weeks is up I am going to be relocated. So I am searching for the cheapest place to stay for 2 weeks, before I settle into an apartment. I am willing to travel from anywhere close to the BTS or MRT as long as its cheap. Trying to find a place for less than 400 baht a night. Thanks guys.

I'd try to sleep next to the lines instead of on them, that, or wake up before 6am... Otherwise there's a few places under the highway; a bridge, perhaps?

haha good thinking, ok after thinking about it, point well taken. Now looking for accommodation next to the MRT and BTS line instead of on them.

Sukhumvit Crown 29, on soi 29, 650/night, certainly discount for weekly stays. Grotty, well-worn, lots of police in the short-time rooms downstairs, pool, not for the immune-compromised. Rooms, towels date from the '60s, I have pics and can hardly tell the difference from current state.

Kind of halfway between Phrom Pong and Asoke, across from Washington Square.

You've been warned.

I think it would be very helpful if you mention the location of the course you will be taking since the MRT and BTS are not exactly small. One member might be thinking of places in On Nut and another might be thinking of places in Mo Chit. But generally, it would be good to avoid the touristic areas and I along Ratchadpisek Road should have cheap lodgings.

As above it really depends on what area you want to be, but when my friends visit BKK they stay at Praso Residence:

As it's just down the road from my apartment, and 10 mins walk to Phra ram 9 MRT, don't know if this is close enough for you but many motorcy taxi's around there, and rooms start at 600baht per night, it's a new place, very clean, cable TV Etc. not the best Soi, but rooms at the back of the building are nice and quiet.

HTH
