hammered
Interesting how this newspaper suddenly gains this insight. But better late than never. He has been writing pieces like that in the Nation for a long time. Although their overall slant is one way he is one of a few who write the other way consistently A more interesting example of them changing insight would maybe be editor Tulsathit's description of the not endorsing the red leader MPs due to not being qualified as candidates as "mind boggling" although the media has started to become quite critical of EC processes and a seeming desire to go slow in recent days with Thai Rath being openly critical
Crushdepth
In Isaan, the media is controlled by Thaksin dollars and red-shirt ideas. They broadcast propaganda 24/7, most of it misrepresentations of the truth. In Bangkok, the media is controlled by elitist dollars and yellow-shirt ideas. They broadcast propaganda 24/7, most of it misrepresentations of the truth. I think Thaksin's propaganda machine does pretty well for itself. And there's always red shirt radio, an assortment of red papers (in Thai I'm afraid) or Robert Amsterdam if you prefer an alternative flavour of reality and pictures of mangled road accident victims.
