July 15, 201114 yr Morning all; We received a minor scratch from a m'bike the other month which we claimed on the insurance. Since then we've been getting calls - initially a straight out offer to change insurance companies, with them saying we'd avoid a premium increase if we changed. A new mob has been calling me this week saying they'll lower the premium and throw in 'por-lor-bor'. They say same coverage etc etc. So whats the catch?
July 15, 201114 yr When in doubt, ask the company to email you a quote written in English so you can examine the proposed policy. There's probably no catch for two reasons; firstly you'll almost certainly face a premium increase with your current provider after your claim whereas depreciation of your vehicle will mean a new insurer can give you a lower quote as the sum insured has decreased accordingly.

Common for showroom sales staff to "sell" Insurance, but never provide it
