A few months ago we took the overnight Chan Tour bus from Udon to Bkk. Departing time from Udon was 11pm and arrival time in Bkk should be 07am. We arrived at 5am!! The idiot driver was absolute flat out all the time passing cars and other buses constantly. Never again.

Never travelled on an overnight bus in ANY other country? What a load of horse Sh##i.After midnight ,ALL buses anywhere in the world go hammer and tongs. I drove buses and coaches , long distance in Australia ,for + 30 years. You want me to tell what happened ,while you slept?5555555 Thought not!!!!..Speeds in excess of 150 K.P.H I have been travelling on Buses in Thailand ,since 1977. IT is ,without doubt ,one of the safest countries ,in the world, to travel by route bus. N.B. I said ROUTE bus. NOT charter buses..So, surprisingly ,to you ,Thai Route bus drivers are ,actually ,very good.On long distance routes.

55555555.Oz is a bit big . Going anywhere is a long way. Everything is done at speed AT NIGHT.Trucks, cars ,buses all purr along ,AT NIGHT.Never had an accident, drove some millions of kilometres. totally safely. Never endangered anyone. I note no comments about long distance route bus drivers in Thailand. Nor speeds ,at night , in other countries.
