Just did a visa hop to Poipet and back to Aran, was easier than ever.

While there are loads of young men still to distract you from official visa buliding, the throngs of kids and beggars are largely gone. Most importantly, the sketchy Khmer visa stand has been replaced by a BIG YELLOW BUILDING. You can hop inside, plunk down US20 (!!) one photo and get your visa very fast AND the US20 price is no longer smudged out as the price :) I was not hassled or grubbed for money at the window for Cambodian visa.

(FYI) The building might have been there some time although looked new, I x'd a few months ago but wa coming from Siem Reap and not needing a visa would not have noticed.

Arrive before 1200 to avoid crazy lines for Cambodian processing arrival and 1400 departure.

While I was not hassled or questioned at all (double TR), I met a guy who had a one year O MULTIPLE, He did not overstay but Immigration asked for and he gave them B1500. He is still uncertain what the money was for. I met him on his inbound, he rec'd zero special services.

Interesting: I was literally the only person at the window for processing outbound Cambodia at about 1200 hours, midweek. NEVER have I seen such.

I was there yesterday as well. I breezed through the entire process in less than an hour, and didn't have to pay a cent to anybody (other than the e-Visa). Very easy and I was only bugged by two people-- telling them you already have your visa shuts them up pretty quickly.
