Windows regularly creates System Restore Points but never seem to know when, I thought a daily Restore Point would be a good idea so if I needed to do a Restore it would be from the start of the day and not from possibly a few days ago.

This Link will show how to automatically create a System Restore point upon the first boot up of the day. You can of course create as many Restore Points as you like but with this you can be sure to have at least one at the start of the day.

Found this on the Internet and thought others might find it useful.

Don't know if this works on all Windows but works with Win XP

a daily backup would be a better solution; and if anything goes wrong, it can be restored immediately

Very true and everyone should do regular back-ups, but restoring a backup is a bit more involved than just a couple of clicks to go back to a previous Restore Point.

Sometimes if you've just changed a minor setting or tried a program that you didn't want after all restoring a whole back-up is a bit over kill.

Anyway each to their own
