Globaleyes
Hello peeps. A Thai friend of mine once told me that taxis can charge more to Farang by selecting a different tariff on the meter. Does anyone know if this is true?

Mossfinn
Double pricing, Farang, Sinsot and the Thai's reckless attack on the Foreign monetary input that non-nationals provide in the local economy. Yup, can't wait for this one, page 576 coming soon.................
Moonrakers
Just show the taxi driver your work permit and you'll get the Thai price Edited July 29, 2011 by Moonrakers
NancyL
Or learn to speak enough Thai to tell them your destination. Look 'em in the eye for about 5 seconds and don't forget the na krap, or na kha. Works every time! If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then the "farang" fare applies to you until you stop calling yourself a "farang".
