Depends where you are, you can take a bus to Pakkred to Major, then walk down the road towards the Pier, remember to turn left after about 100 metres and follow the road, you should see a big car park and the pier to Koh Kred.

Catch the 505 (blue and white, airconditioned) bus from outside Central World. This will take you all the way to Pak kret.for 17 baht When you get off you will need to walk a little way towards the river, then thru some streets on your left to get to the boat that goes across to Koh Kred-2 baht

During the week, take the green flag Chao Phraya Express Boat, it runs all the way to Pak Kret/Koh Kret. It only runs at certain times and only stops at certain piers, though, so plan your trip accordingly. One thing most people don't realize is that the boats actually do run on time at the terminal points, so if you're leaving from a terminus pier and it says every 20 minutes between 18:00 - 19:00 then it's actually going to run at those times. Things get a little dicier as the boat goes down river, but they stay on a pretty decent schedule.

On the weekends, yeah, take the boat to Nonthaburi Pier and then grab the van to Koh Kret. A bunch of them are always parked at the traffic circle next to the fire engine. Should be like THB 50, I think.

The new Chao Phraya Express Boat site is a welcome revamp and has lots of clear info on timetables, routes and fares - and more:
