Hi, I have just purchased an LG optimus black android phone and want to use google navigaton turn by turn, I can get the google map up that shows my location, but when i go to navigate, it comes up 'checking navigation availability' and that is all. is it the internet spEed not enough or do i need to download any google software ?

google navigate does not work in Thailand... there is a thread about how you can get a work around.

I guess with 5.7 you can download a smallish area map, 10 mile, for limited off-line capability. I was expecting a larger area. Will look for a hack.

Hack: continue to download 10 mile boxes.
