Hi, I will be returning to Canada next month with a few years of double T visas, and a return ticket. I went to Holland last June, on arrival I was asked for WP, but don't have one, they accepted my reason for travel, however, on return, I was held up at checkin because the airline needed the 'reason' why I was going back to thailand! They finally accepted an old teachers card from a previous school, however they told me that if I was not allowed into thailand upon arrival, they would be penalized for allowing me to travel.

Canada is my home country and I have not been back in about 7 years, and have about 6 or so Double TV's, any advice in case I get sidelined? I expect there will be questions, just not sure what they will be.

Thanks.

Airlines can be wary of carrying passengers whom they think may not be allowed in at the other end as they may be subject to a large fine if the passenger does not have the correct visa/documentation and is refused entry.

However; you are a Canadian citizen traveling on a Canadian passport to Canada?

If so, what problems could there possibly be? None.

(Home is the place where, when you have to go there, they have to take you in.

You're a Canadian citizen and Canadian immigration cannot deny you entry into Canada. They could care less about your immigration status in Thailand - that's an issue for the Thai government. If they ask you questions about why you were in Thailand for so long, it's likely to be more to do with customs concerns.

yes i'm Canadian...ok thx. Well I thought because I have a return ticket back to bkk they may ask what i am doing there...I did notice in holland that when I said I was working, and they asked to see a WP, they did not notice that I was on tourist visas, meaning they are just going through a formality than actually scrutinizing what visa you are on. I will just say I am living there (here), which is the truth, not doing anything other than living my life on personal savings.

Yes, but the Netherlands isn't your home country, that's why they asked about a work permit when you mentioned working. As everyone else has said, you you will have no problems entering your own country, it doesn't matter a jot if you have a return ticket or multiple tourist visas, you're just visiting your country of birth.
