When I had the Airblade it ran OK on Red 91 but a few times I put Red 95 in and I would swear it ran better.

With the CBR250r I use Red 91. Which is OK. Have yet to try Red 95.

Ps: Any other CBR250r owners, what are you running it on?

I switched to Caltex 95 Gold 2 days ago from the 91 octane I have been using in my 125 Hayate. Absolutely better acceleration and performance. Maybe will try <deleted> Premium next ......

that caltex gold 95 is rocket fuel :) In my opinion its the highest quality petrol in bangkok and my bikes all feel more powerful on it

filled the little Fino up with Esso 95 yesterday. Jeezzz it makes quite a lot of difference. I didn't think it would make as much difference as it did. started pretty easy this morning too, if fact a little easier than normal to be honest. I'm gonna see how it goes with this tank full then go back to 91 benzine for a tank to compare.

I don't really care about the price difference to be honest but if it runs better then I'll be converted. well, at least on the Fino anyway lol

in shell the 95 costs about 2thb per litre more than the 91

on a scooter that holds about 4 litres per tank its only 8thb more expensive to use the 95

well worth it imo

saw regular benzine today at 41 thb in a smal station though .i would have filled up on that if i hadnt just left an esso station with a full tank of 95

I get noticeably worse mileage with gasohol.

As you should, because E10 (10% ethanol) contains about 5% less energy that pure petrol, because ethanol contains much less energy (BTUs) than petrol.

Actual a fuel which holds more Ethanol should burn much more rapid, and therefore an engine tuned for burning Ethanol fuels should produce much better mileage.

Incorrect.

Energy content of ethanol = 20,100 BTU/litre

Energy content of petrol = 30,710 BTU/litre

More energy = more km/L

"Rapid burning" does not equal more energy or more mileage. For example, diesel burns much less rapidly than petrol, but diesel contains 36.825 BTU/L.

(sorry about mixing up English and metric units!)

Yeah..........and change your spark plug to an NGK Iridium at around 500 baht and then you're really flying. :)
