Need Advice With Visas!

Featured Replies

Hi there!

I have a question of how is better to plan some trips to neighboring countries.

We are planning to go for 3 month to Thailand, Koh Samui island. And as we are citizens of one European country, we still need to apply for visa. There is opportunity to make 1/2/3 re-entry visa for the whole period we will be there. We are planning to go for example to Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam... can you please suggest me, how is it much better to plan these trips and visas, as the price plays sufficient role.

Is your country authorized visa exempt entry? When will you plan to make your trips (and for how long in each country)? If you willing to name your passport country it would help.

It's Estonia, so we still need visas. And also one passport is so called 'alien' passport of Estonia. Thank you!

We arrive in January, so probably in February we will go somewhere to travel outside the Thailand. I am not sure about how long to stay, but not for long, maybe just an overnight stay, and the next day further.

You will need a visa for each entry so get 3 or 4 entry if you can. Remember that you can obtain a re-entry permit for the same 1,000 baht cost of a visa so if you only plan a day trip you could get that and keep your current permitted to stay time on return. You also can obtain VOA but that is only 15 days and will cost the same 1,000 baht. Not sure extra trips worth it if only for a day and cost is a concern.

Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket (all in Thailand) might make better alternative trips.

If a multi entry Non Imm O visa has a 'Date Of issue' of Jul 27, 2011 and is stamped 'Enter Before Jul 26, 2011'. If its user entered Thailand on July 28, 2011 and left on Aug 28, 2011 but planed to return to Thailand on Sept. 22, 2011, what would be the best possible scenario to extend the longevity (make use of) this multi Entry Non-Imm Visa with the ultimate intention of converting it to a 1 year stay-Marriage visa?

- Would it be necessary to report to a local Thai immigration office while using this multi Entry Non-Imm Visa?

- Are re-entry permit forms required while using this multi Entry Non-Imm Visa?

Thanks so much for any help in this matter!

Does the visa not say "Enter Before Jul 26, 2012"?

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Assuming it does and thus is valid you just exit every 90 days or less and on each new entry get a new 90 day stay - no re-entry permits required and you never stay more than 90 days without leaving so no address reports to immigration required.

You can extend during last 30 days of any entry by meeting the requirements.

Thanks, it does....my typo!

It (correctly) says: "Enter Before Jul 26, 2012"

Thanks, too, for the clarification!
