trying to make alchoholic drink, but the only yeast I can find is bakers yeast. it does'nt work well. Help please.

In whole honesty, I think it's illegal in Thailand to brew your own stuff here. Even the old folks upcountry love to make their own "Sato" (Rice Wine), but the yeast is almost impossible to find

Bakers yeast works just fine.

I used it for 10 years in Saudi Arabia to brew beer.

Yeah I used Bakers yeast in Saudi as well and it works.

I used to make my beer around 9-10 percent.

Passed away those weekends in Saudi quite nicely.
