Tropicalevo
Welcome to the real world of "there is no free lunch". The flight is free. However, with all of the extra charges (not the airline's fault) the cost is usually a few thousand baht or more. All of the extra charges are payable to third parties. The government, the airport authority, the food caterer etc etc It is not just Air Asia - it is most of the airlines that offer 'free flights'. terryp
What garbage, so AA dont get the seat fee, baggage fee,Insurance fee (that by International Law all airlines must provide free of charge)on-line convenience fee, etc etc AA is a total scam outfit and the sooner they get real competition the better
londoedan
AA is a total scam outfit and the sooner they get real competition the better Eh ? Are you for real I've flown a lot with them recently Sing - BKK and Sing - CGK. I don't see what the problem is ? OK the prices have a lot of add-ons, but then look at the total fare calculation once all the bits and bob's have been added. They are still a lot cheaper than Thai, GA, Sg, CP, Tiger etc and competitive with Jetstar, Valuair, Lion, Batavia and other local low-cost carriers. Plus for me at least their timetables are better and they fly (mostly) on time. In fact on the last 2 trips to BKK in August, on a late Friday afternoon, they were either on-time or ahead of schedule. Compare this with the Lion Air flight to CGK last Friday afternoon that was over an hour late on a 1hr 20 min trip . I think AA are great and value for money. Exactly, Thai Airways are double the fare on the BKK - SG route !
