Shipping Company Recommendations

Featured Replies

Will be staying in Chiang Mai for a few months, and would like to have 8 plastic storage boxes and my scooter shipped here from Pattaya.

Anyone have a company or individual to recommend ??

Thanks

If you want it shipped from Pattaya to Chiang mai I suggest that you contact a Shipping Co in Pattaya. They will do all the logistics like packing/crating and arrange for the trucking etc. They most likely have transport between the two cities many times a day so you most likely will be part of several consignments in one truck which also makes it cheaper. Does not make sense to get a CNX Co involved.

^^ 'post office'. Indeed. Best bet yet. Inexpensive, reliable, and frequent.

Thanks to all for your replies. Will give the PO a shot.

Take care.

Personally, I would ship it by train. You can be there to load it into the car your self and to make sure it's tied down properly. Then you can meet it at the train station in CM and off load it yourself. How do you think the post office will get it there.....yup, same way but with people handling it that don't have too much concern for the well being of someone else's property.

^^ Unless there's been a new line installed, afaik trains from Pattaya only go as far as Bangkok so you'd have to travel to Hualamphong to make sure your bike is 'tied down properly' all over again.

PO for sure for that small amount. They do a pretty good job of moving stuff from a to b... :whistling:

Nim See Seng or Siam First are better and cheaper for this kind of shipment than the PO. Both are on the superhighway. NSS is on the access road right at the junction with the Mae Jo road. Siam is a couple hundred meters east of the khuang sing intersection (where the superhighway meets the road to mae rim) on the south side, not far from the volvo dealership.

4500 from Pattaya to BKK (Pick up truck can put 4 cbm in) and from BKK to Chiangmai 800 THB per cbm.
